【摘要】 托尼?莫里森1993年荣获诺贝尔文学奖,是美国当代文坛一颗璀璨的明星。她的作品关注白人统治下的黑人生活,尤其是黑人女性的边缘生活。《家》是莫里森2012年最新发表的小说,在此作品巾,她第一次以一位患有创伤综合征的退伍士兵作为小说的主人公。该论文试图运用创伤理论对该小说进行解读,论文分为五部分:绪论、主体部分三章以及结论。绪论部分首先介绍了作者的生平及其作品,然后阐述了《家》及与其相关的国内外评论,接着简单说明要应用的理论,最后为了使思路更清晰呈现丫作品的框架。第一章分析小说中人物创伤的根源,分为两部分:弗兰克的创伤根源以及茜的创伤根源。弗兰克的创伤来自种族歧视,家以及战争二个方面;茜的创伤来n家庭,婚姻以及工作三个方而。第二章展现了创伤的症状和影响,与第一章相对应,分别讨论弗兰克和茜的创伤症状。弗兰克的症状体现在重复体验以前所经历的创伤事件,内疚、过度的生理反应以及冋避和麻木。茜的创伤不仅包括精神的创伤,还包拈生理的创伤。第三章分析弗兰克和茜的创伤复原。创伤给弗兰克造成的后果令他不能正常的生活,‘封关于生命垂危的妹妹的信件使他踏上了救助妹妹同时也是救赎自己的旅行。他成功地救出丫妹妹,带她回到家乡,那里的黑人妇女治愈了茜。兄妹俩最终认同了黑人的社区,在那里安静健康地生活。结论部分对整篇论文进行了总结,并分析作者的写作意图。在种族歧视的国家里,黑人只有依附自身传统文化和价值才能生存。同时作者以朝鲜战争为写作背景这个事实暗示了作者厌恶战争,呼吁和平的政治立场。更多还原

【Abstract】 Toni Morrison is a brilliant writer in American contemporary literature who received Nobel Prize in Literature in 1993, Her fictions mainly focus on black people struggling under the control of the white’ especially black women characters. Home is her latest novel published in 2012 in which, for the first time, she uses a veteran with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder as its protagonist. This thesis attempts to analyze this novel from the perspective of trauma theory. It consists of five parts: introduction, three chapters and conclusion.Introduction consists of four parts. First it briefly talks about Toni Morrison’s life and her works. Then it introduces Home and provides a literature review about it. After the brief introduction of trauma theory’ it presents the layout of the thesis.Chapter I analyzes the sources of trauma which will be presented into two parts: sources of Frank’s and Cee s trauma. Frank’s trauma comes from racism home and war while Cee’s trauma results from family, marriage and work.Chapter II discusses the symptoms and effects of trauma which includes two parts too. Frank’s symptoms are re-experiencing the traumatic events; guilty and heightened physiological arousal; disconnection and numbness. Effects of trauma on Cee arc physical as well as psychological.Chapter III is about Frank’s and Cee’s recovery from trauma. Having been traumatized, Frank is unable to live normally, a letter about his dying sister leads to his journey to save her as well as his own redemption. He successfully rescues her and takes her back to Lotus. Black women there cure Cee. The brother and sister finally identify with the community and live peacefully in Lotus.Conclusion summarizes the whole thesis and points out the writer’s intention. In a country with racism still existing, the black should uphold their traditional culture and value. As well, the fact that Toni Morrison uses the Korean War as the background of the novel reveals her political stand, that is: critique to war and hope for peace.更多还原
