【摘要】 本篇翻译报告题材选自美国医学研究所（IOM）2011年发布的医学研究报告。该报告以0-5岁婴幼儿为研究对象，通过分析引起婴幼儿肥胖的一系列因素如体力活动、饮食模式、依赖屏幕时间和睡眠等，旨在为婴幼儿肥胖预防工作提供相关建议。鉴于当前肥胖问题的严重性，笔者希望此篇报告的翻译能为中国儿童肥胖预防工作提供些许指导。本报告的研究视角是交际翻译理论。Early Childhood Obesity PreventionPolicies是一篇为婴幼儿肥胖预防工作提供政策建议的报告。根据纽马克的文本类型理论，原文属于信息型文本，适用于交际翻译理论。该理论跳出了逐词逐句翻译的限制，强调译文读者应获得和原文读者一样的阅读感受。译者在交际翻译理论的指导下，认为翻译此篇报告应在保证忠实于原文内容的前提下，注重译文的表达效果，实现信息的有效传递。报告分为四个部分，第一章从介绍翻译项目背景和意义对翻译项目进行了整体描述；第二章从内容、结构和语言特点等方面对原文进行了分析；第三章是本报告的重点，笔者首先详细介绍了纽马克的文本类型理论和交际翻译理论，然后从词汇、句法和篇章角度探讨了交际翻译理论对此次翻译项目的指导意义，并总结出具体的翻译方法和技巧。最后一章为结语。笔者希望本篇翻译报告能为类似医学报告汉译提供一定帮助。更多还原

【Abstract】 The author selects Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Policies, a medicalreport, as the translation task. The report published by Institute of Medicine in2011focuses on children from birth to5years old and aims at providing recommendationsfor early childhood obesity prevention through the analysis of some key factorsrelated to childhood obesity such as physical activity, healthy eating, marketing andscreen time, and so on. As obesity is becoming a growing serious disease, the authorhopes that the translation task can provide guidance for childhood obesity preventionin China.The translation task is analyzed from the perspective of communicativetranslation theory. Early Childhood Obesity Prevention Policies is a report whichprovides policy recommendations for early childhood obesity prevention. Accordingto Newmark’s text typology, the original text features information function. Therefore,it can be guided by the communicative translation theory. The theory stresses theeffect on readers of target language rather than the original words or sentences. Basedon the theory, a translator should pay attention to the communicative effect as well asrespect the source language text.The translation report is made up of4chapters. In the first chapter, the authorintroduces the translation task by stating its background and value. The secondchapter analyzes the original text through its content, structure, and language feature.In the third chapter, the most important part of the report, the author first introducesNewmark’s communicative theory and text typology, then discusses its significancein guiding the translation task from the perspective of vocabulary, sentence and text, and finally summaries several translation methods and skills employed in the courseof the translation. The last chapter is the conclusion.The author hopes that the translation report can be of certain value to thetranslation of medical reports.更多还原
