【摘要】 作为爵士时代的代言人之一,菲茨杰拉德被誉为二十世纪伟大的作家和迷惘一代的代表。小说《了不起的盖茨比》出版之后,菲茨杰拉德更是得到广泛的关注和赞誉。同时,广大学者和批评家们也对小说进行了大量的研究与批评。纵观现有研究成果,大多都从小说主题、社会背景、写作技巧、叙述结构等方面进行研究,例如美国梦、象征主义、女性主义等。因此,要想对小说进行更加深入且有新意的研究与理解,我们必须寻求新的途径。作者认为此小说不仅仅是描绘了两位男士争夺爱情的故事,其更多地是在揭示和诠释话语权力的争夺。因此,本论文从话语和权力的基本概念出发,结合法国哲学家福柯的话语权理论,从权力争夺的角度对小说进行分析与研究。作者按照话语的概念将其分为显性话语和隐性话语两类,并以小说中因权力争夺而产生的话语为对象,通过举例分析和总结归纳的方法尽可能全面、系统地分析权力争夺的话语策略,并以此为基础揭示出话语与权力的关系及其本质。以致让读者明白话语是特定阶级用来表达思想、观念并以此进行利益保护的工具。因此,在被灌输某种思想时需要认真对其进行审视,做到辨别善恶、去伪存真。本论文共分四章：第一章为绪论,简要介绍本论文的研究背景,包括作者简介及小说概述；小说的国内外研究现状及其评论；以及论文研究的重要性,包括选题原因、研究目的及方法。第二章分别从话语和权力的基本定义出发,运用法国哲学家米歇尔·福柯的话语权力理论对“话语”和“权力"的概念分别从一般性和特定性两个角度分别对其进行了具体阐释与归纳。第三章根据话语的定义将其分为显性话语和隐形话语两类,并结合小说中的话语实例进行分析,总结出小说中反映的权力争夺的话语策略。同时,以福柯的话语权理论为理论研究基础,抽象出小说中反映的隐形话语策略,说明其在权力争夺中的运作。本章通过小说中的具体话语分析总结出不同类型的话语权力争夺的策略,以期揭示话语权的本质。第四章就本论文进行总体概括,总结成就及局限性,进一步说明权力争夺的话语策略在小说中的体现及其意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 As a representative of Jazz Age, Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald is widely regarded as one of the twentieth century’s greatest writers and the member of Lost Generation in1920s. After the publication of The Great Gatsby, Fitzgerald gains the great reputation. And also scholars and critics don’t stop making research and comment on it. Observing the works and theses on The Great Gatsby, nearly all of them analyze and criticize from the perspectives like theme, social context, writing skills, narration structure, exactly speaking, American dream, symbolism, feminism, etc. Therefore, getting the deep understanding of the novel or creating novelty for study needs us to search for some new perspectives. In addition, author doesn’t believe the novel merely demonstrate a story that two men fight for a woman in a superficial way. Actually, it reveals a course of power struggle through the discourse. Therefore, starting from the basic definition of discourse and power and combining with the discourse power theory of the great French philosopher, Foucault, this thesis tries to analyze the novel from the perspective of power struggle. In the thesis, the author categorizes the discourse into dominant and recessive ones according to the definition of discourse and tries to make a systematic and comprehensive conclusion with the methods of example analysis and induction by analyzing the discourse induced by the power struggle in the novel in order to reveal the relation and nature of discourse and power. The most important is to tell the reader that any discourses are served for a certain class to carry out their conception and protect their interest. So we should clearly recognize and inspect the discourse around us as well as eliminate the false and retain the true.This thesis consists of four chapters altogether:Chapter I makes a brief introduction of research background, including the introduction of Fitzgerald and his novel, The Great Gatsby. Literature review refers to the studies and comments from both the domestic and overseas points. In addition, the importance of the research is illustrated from the perspectives of research reason, aim and methods.Chapter II puts emphasis on the definition of discourse and power with their definitions and this part is going to explain the discourse and power respectively from the aspects of general view and Foucault’ interpretation by applying the discourse power theory of Foucault.Chapter III is the text analysis. Author here categorizes the discourse strategy into dominant and recessive ones. On the basis of the discourse examples, it concludes the discourse strategies on power struggle reflected in the novel. Meanwhile, taking use of the power theory of Michel Foucault, the author tries to summarize the recessive discourse strategies on power struggle in different types and show its operation system. With these discourse strategies, the author attempts to reveal the nature of discourse power.Chapter Ⅳ comes to the conclusion which states the achievements and limitations of this thesis. Furthermore, it overviews and highlights the reflection and significance of discourse strategies in the novel.更多还原
