【摘要】 英语教学不仅要培养语言基本技能，更应该把这种学习和训练置于文化教学的大背景之中，最终使学生获得跨文化交际能力。近年来针对如何培养学生的文化交际能力形成了跨文化交际学的研究体系。但是在大学英语教学中如何利用跨文化交际的教学方法提高学生的跨文化交际能力，仍是一块有待深入研究的领域。本论文的研究问题是：一、什么是跨文化交际法？二、跨文化交际法如何才能应用到新视野大学英语的教学中？三、是否学生的跨文化交际能力能通过这种教学法的实施得到提高？本文作者依据John Corbett在An intercultural approach to English languageteaching中的教学原则，对实验组和控制组的学生进行了前测，并用跨文化交际法所倡导的教学原则进行了干预，十五周后再次对学生的测试表明，融合了跨文化交际法的实验组学生在后测中的成绩明显优于传统交际法的控制组的学生。实验结果表明：教师应用多样的教学活动来实践跨文化交际法并强化学生的跨文化交际意识；跨文化交际法的全面实施也对教师本身的跨文化交际能力提出了要求。更多还原

【Abstract】 The ultimate goal of English teaching is to cultivate students’ interculturalcommunicative competence (ICC for short hereafter) with English language. ThusEnglish teaching should not only emphasize the training of students’ basic linguisticskills but also put these skills into the context of its culture so that the students canacquire ICC.Recently how to enhance students’ cultural awareness in order to develop theirICC has formed the basic systems concerned with the study of interculturalcommunication. However, how to apply the new teaching method---interculturalapproach to improve their ICC is still a field which is worth further studies.The research questions of this thesis are1) what is an Intercultural Approach?2)How can the intercultural Approach be applied to the teaching of New HorizonCollege English?3) Can the students’ intercultural competence be enhanced throughthe implementation of the intercultural approach in New Horizon College English?The thesis conducted an experiment in a period of15-week on the basis of somerelevant theories mentioned by John Corbett in his An intercultural approach toEnglish language teaching. A pre-test was conducted between the experimental classand the control class to ensure they are of an equal English level. With theintervention of intercultural approach used in experimental class, students achieved ahigher score than that of the control group.The results of this experiment indicate that diversified methods may be used incollege English teaching to cultivate student’s ICC; teachers should have a strong ICCso that they can implement this approach in their routine teaching.更多还原
