基于XMPP的多方通信系统的研究与实现

【摘要】 多方通信一直是人们研究的热点,特别是随着Internet和多媒体技术的发展,基于Internet的多方通信成为了研究的重点。目前流行的多方通信的应用是计算机会议系统,计算机会议系统为人们的沟通带来了方便。本文通过对多方通信模式以及会议系统规范的研究,设计和实现了基于XMPP的多方通信系统。该系统功能强大,支持即时通信,语音通话,数据会议,语音会议等功能。系统继承了XMPP互联互通的优点,客户端可以进行跨域的访问。另外系统支持多协议的互通,实现了XMPP客户端和其他VoIP客户端的语音通话。多方通信中多点控制技术是本文重点的研究内容,本文提出了用发布/订阅的通信模式来实现多点控制的新方法。在对多点控制的设计与实现过程中,首先定义了基于XMPP的发布/订阅规范,并依据这个规范实现了发布/订阅模块,然后在发布/订阅模块之上实现了会议的多点控制。另外利用发布/订阅模块还可以开发其他的多方通信应用,达到了软件复用的目的。

【Abstract】 Multi-party communication has been research hot spot. Particularly with the development of Internet and multimedia technology, Internet-based multi-party communication has become the focus of the study. At present, the popular multi-party communication is the computer conferencing system. Computer conferencing systems bring the convenience of communication to people.Through studying the mode of multi-party communication and framework of conferencing system,XMPP-based multi-party communication system is designed and implemented in this paper.The system is powerful and supports number of features, such as instant-message, voice calls,data conferencing and voice conferencing. The system inherited the advantages of interoperability from the XMPP, so the clients are able to carry out cross-border visits. In addition, the interworking of different VoIP protocols is supported. The XMPP client can call other VoIP client’s call.Multi-point control technology in the system is the focus of this paper. One of the innovations of this paper is to use publish/subscribe communication model to achieve multi-point control. In this paper, XMPP-based publish/subscribe specification is proposed, and then in accordance with the sepcification to a publish/subscribe module is implemented. The module has played a role in middleware for the development of the upper application. In the publish/subscribe module on the realization of the conferencing system of the multi-point control, the use of publish/subscribe module can also develop various other communications applications, which reflecting the principal of software reuse.
