HLS升级改造储存环系统磁铁设计

【摘要】 合肥同步辐射光源(HLS)是一台专用的同步辐射光源,因其属于第二代光源,发射度相对较大(160nmrad)。为了提高光源的性能,特别是获得更高亮度的同步辐射光和增加插入元件的数量,合肥光源升级改造项目目前正在进行中。改造后的储存环lattice为包括4个超周期的DBA结构,其中包含8块二极铁,32块四极铁和32块组合功能的六极铁。磁铁系统是加速器的重要组成部分。本次改造,所有的磁铁均需要重新设计和制造以满足新机器的设计要求。论文重点介绍了储存环常规磁铁的优化设计过程并对磁场品质进行了分析。其中多功能六极铁的设计和制造在国内属首次。论文综述了磁铁设计的基本概论和电磁铁设计的理论基础。根据电磁铁设计的理论基础,详细介绍了HLSⅡ升级改造储存环磁铁系统中,关于二极铁、四极铁和多功能六极铁的设计以及最终的计算结果。
【Abstract】 HLS(Hefei Light Source)is a dedicated synchrotron radiation research facility, whose emittance is relatively large(160nmrad). In order to improve the performance of HLS, especially getting higher brilliance synchrotron radiation and increasing the number of straight sections for insertion devices, an upgrade project will be proceeded soon. The storage ring lattice, which has a DBA structure with 4 super-periods, comprises 8 dipoles, 32 quadrupoles and 32 combined function sextupoles.The magnet system is one of the important parts of the accelerator. All of the magnet would be redesigned and fabricated to satisfy the needs of the new ring. The thesis put emphasis on the process of the magnet design and the qualities analysing of the magnetic field. The combined function sextupole is the first one designed and fabricated in China.The thesis also summarized the basic concepts and the theoretical basis of the magnet design.
