【摘要】 约翰·福尔斯作为“后现代主义”的代表,是英国当代文坛最重要的小说家之一。笔者以他的二部主要作品《巫术师》以及《法国中尉的女人》为例,指出神秘主义是贯穿福尔斯所有作品中连绵不断的主线之一。本论文分为五个部分。第一部分是引言,引出神秘主义这一概念。第二部分是介绍神秘主义的来源与多种解释。第三部分陈述神秘主义在欧洲文学史上的反映。第四部分从五个方面分析福尔斯作品中的神秘性和神秘化。第五部分分析福尔斯作品带神秘主义色彩的原因。最后一部分是结语。更多还原

【Abstract】 John Fowles, who has been labeled as a“postmodernist”writer, is an important and influential novelist in contemporary Britain.Through an analysis of Fowles’two major novels of The Magus and The French Lieutenant’s Woman, the author in this thesis tries to point out that mysticism is one of the major threads running through most of the works of John Fowles.This thesis falls into five parts.Part one serves as an introduction to educe the concept of mysticism. Part two introduces kinds of explanations to mysticism. Part three is an outline of mysticism’s reflection in the history of European literature. Part four deals with mystery and mystification in the two novels of Fowles from five aspects. Part five analyses the reasons of the mysticism in Fowles’works. The last part draws a conclusion of the whole thesis.更多还原
