【摘要】 限定词首次提出至今,在其概念、分类、排序、与名词的关系等方面的研究取得了众多成果,但限定词彼此间的搭配却较少有人关注,因此本文基于语料库对英语限定词彼此间的共现进行了研究。本文考虑到语料的代表性、规模、语域的多样性、赋码的细化程度等因素,主要选取英国国家英语语料库(BNC),同时参照比对美国国家英语语料库(ANC),研究英语限定词的共现规律。研究方法如下:首先按照数学的排列组合模式,依据限定词前中后的排序,两两生成限定词之间的搭配。然后在语料库中统计其生频数、计算T值和MI值,按其搭配强度得出限定词搭配的排序。同时分析了限定词在不同语域中的分布、限定词与不同类别名词的共现规律。通过MI值和PMW的对比,总结了限定词在英式英语和美式英语中使用的异同。研究发现限定词彼此之间存在一定数量的显著搭配,尤其是总结出了后位限定词之间的搭配规律。通过对限定词与四类名词共现比例的统计,发现英语限定词与单数名词搭配频数最高,与中性名词(数)搭配频数最低;通过对限定词在口语、新闻、小说、学术语域中出现的PMW进行比较,发现限定词较多的出现在口语和学术语域,而在新闻和小说语域中则较少使用。卡方检验结果表明,总体来说英式英语与美式英语在限定词的使用上无显著差异。本文从实证主义角度论证和归纳了限定词之间的显著搭配,尤其是后位限定词之间的搭配规律。其研究方法不同于内省法,这些基于语料库得出的搭配更地道,更准确,更利于指导理论研究和教学实践。更多还原

【Abstract】 Determiner is first put forward by Sapir in 1921.Up to the present,the study of Determiners has been focused on their definition,recognition,sequencing and the relation between Determiners and Nouns.Nevertheless,most scholars don’t attach enough importance to collocations among Determiners.Therefore,this paper is a corpus-based study on co-occurrence of English Determiners.I mainly study BNC,and ANC is used as a reference corpus to study the collocations of English Determiners,taking into consideration their representativeness,scale,registers,and annotation.The research is carried out as follows:Two-word patterns are generated by permutation and combination based on Determiner sequencing to acquire the raw frequency in two corpora.T-scores and MI-scores are calculated to measure the collocational strength of patterns and Determiner collocations are ranked by collocational strength.What’s more,the distribution of Determiners across different registers is mapped and the regularity of the co-occurrence of Determiners and Nouns in terms of number is summarized.By comparison of their MI-scores and PMW,similarities and differences between British English and American English are concluded.A number of significant English Determiner collocations are discovered,especially, Post-determiner collocations.According to the proportion of Determiners co-occurring with four Noun categories,the most frequent Noun category collocated with Determiners is the singular common Noun;however,Determiners seldom collocate with common Nouns,neutral for number.In terms of register,the frequency of the matching strings per million words is acquired to make comparisons in spoken,newspaper,fiction and academic registers. Determiners frequently occur in spoken and academic genres but rarely occur in newspaper and fiction.Chi-square tests show there is no significant difference about the use of Determiners between two languages.The sig-nificant Determiner collocations are concluded by positivism,particularly,the regularities on Post-determiners co-occurrence.The approach used in this paper is different from introspective method;Determiner collocations based on corpus are more reliable and authentic,which is preferable to guide theoretical research and teaching.更多还原
