基于改进的粒子系统的火焰模拟

【摘要】 计算机火焰模拟的方法大致分为三种:粒子系统方法、数学物理方法和纹理技术方法;其中比较传统的是粒子系统方法。本文对粒子系统的核心控制机制进行了一些改进,在一定程度上克服了传统方法的过度随机性。分别采用了数学方法、物理方法(Lattice-Boltzmann方法)和纹理技术的辅助手段进行模拟。第一章是绪论,主要介绍了课题的相关背景。我们对火焰模拟的方法进行了合理的分类;既介绍了早期火焰模型的一些特征,对最近十几年来的最新发展情况进行了详尽的介绍。在国内外已有的最新研究成果的基础上,提出了本文的技术思路。第二章简单介绍了本文方法所采的整体管理系统:粒子系统。我们对其基本的管理框架进行了合理的规划,然后对其核心的控制部分进行了一些改进,使之更能适应时代快速发展的需要。第三章在粒子系统的基础上,通过改进其控制核心,实现了对粒子系统的进一步更新。首先采用参考中心线的方法,控制的过程又相对简洁。把火焰作为一种特殊的流体,采用Lattice-Boltamann方法进行计算;论文对控制的结果进行了初步而有益的探索,并取得了一定的效果。第四章在粒子系统的控制机理上,采用火焰轮廓的近似方式进行简化,并引入了一定的随机机制。在显示粒子的时候,我们采用纹理片的方法,用一定大小的纹理图片代替所要绘制的大量粒子,取得了较好的模拟速度和效果。第五章是研究动向与结论,重点关注了未来的研究过程当中需要重点加以关切的三个方面。同时也介绍了今后需要进一步努力和完善的工作。

【Abstract】 There were three methods for flame simulation in computer graphics:particle system method, mathematic and physics-based method and the method of texture technique. In this paper, we improved the core of control mechanisms of the particle system, to a certain extent. We ameliorated the traditional methods to overcome the excessive randomness. Mathematical methods,physical methods and texture technical were used in our work.In Chapter 1,we mainly Introduced the background of our work. We classified flame simulation methods reasonably; earlier models of the flame simulating and the latest developments in this field were discussed detailed. We bring out our train of thought based on the accomplishments of these issues on recent years.Chapter 2 briefly introduced the method adopted by the overall management system: particle system. We managed its basic framework reasonably, and then a number of improvements on the core of control mechanisms were put, so that it can adapt to the rapid development of the times.In Chapter 3,we controlled the changes of particles of the flame used the reference of center line, we called that particle chains. The control process of this method is relatively simple. We considered that flame is a special fluid, and thus we done calculations based on the Lattice-Boltamann method. Some researches were presented of the preliminary results of the control mechanism, and some results have being achieved.Chapter 4 presented a fast flame simulation method based on the texture slice on the basis of the particle system,and compared with the new research results which come from the application methods in recent years. It used suitable texture slices and less transparency,to rendered the flame procedure by a rotation loop.The analysis showed that the texture slice method had some advantages not only in many ways but also in lot of application fields.Chapter 5 is the future direction of the study and the conclusions, we analyzed three important techniques briefly, included flames details, the control mechanisms and the simulation speed of result, and some studies of the future researches of this direction are presented.
