【摘要】 对资本主义工业文明下各种现实问题的探讨,特别是对于自我与外部现实、男人与女人关系的探讨,几乎是贯穿于劳伦斯各部文学作品的主题。劳伦斯在探讨自我与外部现实、男人与女人这两大关系时,以“平衡”作为相同的评判标准,它赞同和追求自我与外部现实、男人与女人之间的“平衡”关系。首先,劳伦斯崇尚自我与外部现实关系的“平衡”。劳伦斯认为外部现实和自我应该是独立的两部分,自我不应该被外部现实所吞噬和奴役。其次,劳伦斯认为理想的男女关系是一种“平衡”的两性关系。这种“平衡”既要求男女之间在肉体和精神上要有和谐的同一和交流,又要求男女两性要有自己的独立意志,这两个方面不可相互取代。最后,劳伦斯将“平衡”的男女关系作为实现自我与外部现实“平衡”的一种手段。但他很快发现这种方案在现实上是行不通的。于是,劳伦斯提出了让人类彻底毁灭,让新的人类重生在纯粹的外部现实中,从而恢复自我与外部现实的平衡。劳伦斯的一生是“失衡”的一生,也是努力寻找这种失落的“平衡”的一生。他在生活中寻找,在作品中探求。也许他的行为并不为人所理解,但他为了人类美好的明天而孜孜以求的精神是永远值得我们铭记的。更多还原

【Abstract】 The exploration of the various practical problems in capitalist industrial civilization, especially the relationship between self and external reality and the relationship between men and women ran through all the themes of Lawrence’s works. While studying the two important relationships , Lawrence considered "balance" as a common standard , which means keeping the balance of pursuing self and external reality as well and the balance between man and woman.First, Lawrence advocated the balance between self and the outside reality . He thought external reality and self are two independent sections. So the latter should not be swallowed or enslaved by the former.Secondly, Lawrence thought that the ideal relationship between men and women should be a "balanced" relation between the sexes. This "balance" between men and women requires not only the harmony of body and spirit but also the independent will of the sexes. And each of the two aspects can not replace each other.Finally, Lawrence regarded the "balance" between men and women as a method to keep self-realization and external reality balanced. But he quickly discovered the plan didn’t work in reality. Thus, Lawrence claimed to ruin mankind, then the new humans could live in a pure external reality, so as to restore the balance between self and the outside reality.Lawrence’s life was "unbalanced" one, during which he was always trying to find the lost "balance" . He had been searching for it in his life and works until his death. Although he probably couldn’t have himself understood by others , his spirit of pursuing the brighter tomorrow is memorable for all human beings .更多还原
