【摘要】 社会主义和谐社会的实质和核心在于人与人之间的和谐，和谐社会的根本就是社会关系的和谐。而实现这一目标的前提就是要使人民内部矛盾得到正确的处理。“让人民来监督政府”是正确处理人民内部矛盾的恰当方式。所以在构建社会主义和谐社会的过程中，我们必须把让人民来监督政府作为其中的重要举措。本文从理论上对在构建和谐社会背景下践行让人民来监督政府思想的必要性、重大现实意义以及如何发挥这一思想对构建和谐社会的重大现实意义进行探析，论证在构建和谐社会的进程中，让人民来监督政府是构建社会主义和谐社会的根本举措，并通过深入分析在构建和谐社会背景下践行让人民来监督政府思想所面临的新形势，结合目前我们在构建和谐社会实践中存在的问题，对在构建和谐社会背景下践行让人民来监督政府思想的实现途径提出笔者的构想，以求通过开展让人民来监督政府的工作来进一步促进社会的和谐发展。更多还原
