SIP一致性测试研究

【摘要】 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol会话初始化协议)是用来生成、修改、终结一个或多个参与者之间的会话的应用层协议。SIP可应用于IP电话、IMP(Instant message&Presence即时消息与存在)、视频会议、IMS(IP Multimedia Subsystem IP多媒体子系统)等。关于SIP协议的实现很多,需要SIP一致性测试来规范SIP协议实现与SIP相关RFC或SIP相关其他标准之间的符合程度,作为SIP协议实现之间互通的保证。协议测试是为了验证协议实现的正确性和有效性而出现的。协议测试分为一致性测试、互操作性测试、性能测试等。其中一致性测试发展的最早也最为成熟,是其他测试的基础。一个协议实现能否通过一致性测试是它能否与其他实现成功进行交互的重要保障。不过,互操作性才是对协议实现在实际应用中的根本要求。本文研究了协议一致性测试理论和测试描述语言—TTCN-3,对SIP及其相关协议进行了分析。并在熟悉ETSI和TAHI的SIP一致性测试规范的前提下,分别基于两个测试规范搭建了两个SIP一致性测试平台。在实验的过程中,发现了ETSI测试规范的不足,针对这个问题,依照规范要求,增加了一些TP(Test Purpose测试目的),用TTCN-3语言实现为ATS(Abstract Test Suite抽象测试套),并进行了验证,改进了ETSI的SIP一致性测试规范。

【Abstract】 SIP is an application-layer protocol that can establish, modify, and terminate sessions that have one or more participants .SIP can be used in IP phone, IMP, Video conference, IMS, etc. There are lots of SIP implementations; so we need the SIP conformance testing to specify the implementations’ conformance to the SIP related RFCs and related specifications, which will ensure the interoperability of the implementations with other implementations in the market.Protocol testing is to verify the correctness and validity of the protocol implementation. Protocol testing is composed of conformance testing, interoperability testing, performance testing etc. The development of conformance testing is most early and maturely, and it is the basement of other testings. A protocol implementation that can pass the conformance testing is more likely to pass the interoperability testing or other testing.This paper has studied protocol conformance testing methodology and testing description language—TTCN-3, and analysed SIP and SIP related protocols. After study of ETSI and TAHI SIP conformance testing specifications, two SIP conformance testing platforms have been established. During the test, some insufficiency in ETSI SIP conformance testing specification are found, so this paper has added some TPs and realized them as ATS with TTCN-3 to solve this problem. As a result, this paper has improved the ETSI SIP conformance testing specification.
