掺铒氧化物及氟氧化物玻璃光谱性质研究

【摘要】 本论文主要内容是研究掺Er3+氧化物玻璃以及氟氧化物玻璃陶瓷的光谱性质,希望通过玻璃组分的优化,制备工艺的改进,实现铒玻璃光谱性质和激光性能的优化。在文献综述部分首先对玻璃基发光材料的特点,玻璃基质和激活离子作了简单的介绍。然后说明选择稀土离子作为激活离子的原因,并对本文研究的稀土Er3+的能级结构特点、受激跃迁以及用不同的波长的光进行泵浦时以及不同的离子作为敏化剂时的上转换现象进行说明。最后分别对Er3+掺杂的硅酸盐、磷酸盐、碲酸盐激光玻璃的研究进展以及Er3+掺杂的氟氧化物玻璃研究进展作了简单的回顾。在第二章介绍了本文的研究方法。详细介绍了玻璃的熔制,测试分析方法以及光谱参数的理论计算方法即Judd—Ofelt理论。在后三章实验部分用高温熔融法制备了Er3+单掺的氧化物玻璃、氟氧化物玻璃陶瓷和Er3+/Yb3+双掺的氟氧化物玻璃陶瓷样品。测量了上述玻璃样品的物理性质、内部结构、吸收光谱、荧光光谱以及上转换光谱。在氧化物玻璃中,由于混合碱效应使Judd—Ofelt参数出现极值。在氟氧化物玻璃陶瓷中Er3+浓度的增加阻止了PbF2晶粒的进一步长大,Er3+富集于PbF2晶粒的表面处。对于Er3+/Yb3+共掺的氟氧化物玻璃陶瓷,我们详细研究并阐明了Yb3+对Er3+的敏化过程。Yb3+的共掺使Er3+在1.53μm处荧光发射半高宽(FWHM)增加。由于该玻璃材料表现出较好的物化性能,因此该材料可望成为宽带光纤放大器的适宜的基质材料。最后是本论文的结论部分,概括了全文的实验研究结果,同时指出了存在的不足与需要改进之处。

【Abstract】 In this thesis, the work is focused on the spectroscopic and laser properties of erbium doped oxide and oxy-fluoride glass. The component of glass is optimized and the technique is improved in order to achieve the optimal spectroscopic and laser properties.The characteristic of fluorescent glass and excited ions was introduced in the first chapter. We also interpreted the reason why the rare ions are chosen as the excited ions. The properties of energy level of Er3+ and the relationship between up-conversion and pump wavelength are given. The improvement of silicate, phosphate and tellurite laser glasses besides oxyfluoride glass-ceramics doped with Er3+ are reviewed.In the second chapter, the experiment methods are introduced, including the sample preparation procedures, physical and spectroscopic properties measurements, and the spectroscopic parameters calculation using Judd-Ofelt theory.In the experiment, the oxide glasses and oxy-fluoride glass doped with Er3+ and oxyfluoride glass-ceramics co-doped with Er3+/Yb3+ were fabricated by the technique of high temperature melting. The physical properties, structure, absorption and fluorescence spectra were measured. In oxide glass, with the increasing of Li2O, the Judd-Ofelt parameter Ω2 come to a maximum because of the effect of mixed alkali. The high concentration of Er3+ will prevent the growth PbF2 minicrystal and the Er3+ were congregated on the surface of the PbF2 minicrystal. The sensitizing of Yb3+ to Er3+ in Er3+/ Yb3+ co-doped oxyfluoride glasses was discussed. It is found that the FWHM around 1.5μm in Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped oxyfluoride glass-ceramics was broaden. In themeantime, the gasses show favorable chemical and physical properties. It is expected to be a favorable candidate host for broadband amplifiers.Finally, all results of present work are outlined, and it is suggested that something should be done in the next stage.
