组播策略的研究与应用

【摘要】 Internet的大部分应用都是基于点到点的单播传输或是点到多点的广播传输,但近年来随着网络技术的飞速发展,网络带宽的不断增加,许多新的多媒体应用开始涌现,例如视频广播、视频点播、会议电话等。对于这些应用的飞速发展,如果仅仅使用传统的单播技术,将会给电信运营商带来大量的带宽浪费。组播技术能够让电信运营商不改变当前网络结构,不增加过多的额外投资的前提下,在一定范围内有效的缓解带宽消耗过大的压力。而多协议标签交换技术与IP组播的结合,可以很好的解决包括QoS、组播可控性等在内的目前IP网络无法克服的问题,本文通过深入研究组播技术,并在详细分析了MPLS组播策略的基础上提出一种基于MPLS网络的组播策略,该策略采用隧道技术、组播的聚合和冗余机制等技术,在多个方面解决了MPLS组播所面临的问题,并在此基础上引入拥塞控制机制,可以尽量避免由组播引发的网络拥塞,并且有助于整个网络的负载平衡和提高网络的可靠性和安全性。最后本文还结合了IPTV工程实践,分析电信运营商目前的组播实际应用模式,提出构建一个适用与电信运营商在IPTV用户数不同阶段时的组播应用方案。

【Abstract】 Most of the Internet application data transfer is based on either unicast (one to one) or broadcast (one to multi) technology. However with the speedy network technology and bandwidth improvement a number of new multimedia applications immerges, such as: video broadcast, video on demand, conference call and etc. For these new applications, traditional unicast and broadcast technology will result in big bandwidth waste for the telecommunication companies.Multicast technology can significantly relieve the bandwidth consumption without changing current network structure and putting much investment. Combining the MPLS and IP multicast technology will solve problems such as Qos and multicast controllability which traditional IP network can not overcome.This essay will thoroughly discuss the MPLS technology and the new network strategy based on the MPLS. The strategy will include tunneling technology, combining and redundancy multicast, solve various MPLS problems. Also it improves the whole network load balancing,
