闪光铝粉颜料的制备、改性及其应用研究

【摘要】 闪光铝粉颜料是一种重要的金属颜料。本文首先研究了闪光铝粉颜料的特性,讨论了棒磨机制备铝粉颜料的各种工艺条件对研磨效果的影响。结果表明,选用球型喷雾铝粉为原料,研磨棒的装填量为58~60根,研磨时间控制在4~6小时,采用异丙醇做溶剂,硬脂酸做助磨剂,可得到片状、形貌规整、粒度分布较窄的闪光铝粉颜料。 制备的闪光铝粉颜料样品电镜照片可见,样品片状形貌较好,边缘有一定厚度,发生卷曲的颗粒极少;通过水面遮盖力测定实验验证其的平均遮盖率较高。 其次研究了不同的偶联剂改性处理铝粉颜料的效果,发现γ-APS硅烷偶联剂为较好的改性剂,当试剂∶水∶乙醇质量比为1∶2∶30时,处理过的铝粉颜料在水溶液中的分散性较好。再经过高温处理后,铝粉颗粒表面平整度提高,同时使铝粉颜料的耐高温性和耐腐蚀性能提高。通过扫描电镜、EDS能谱仪、XPS能谱等分别进行了分析和表征。结果表明,改性后的片状铝粉粒子表面包覆了一层硅烷偶联剂聚合物膜,硅烷偶联剂在铝粉颜料表面有Al-O-Si键生成。发气实验验证了铝粉颜料经硅烷偶联剂处理后,其在水性涂料中的稳定性比未经处理的铝粉颜料有明显提高。 然后研究了通过乳液聚合法在铝粉颗粒表面包覆聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯(PMMA),探讨了影响产物颜色和光泽性的反应条件,制备出金色的闪光铝粉颜料。

【Abstract】 The flash aluminum flake pigment is an important metallic pigment. The paper research on the specialties of flaking aluminum pigment, discussed the related effect factors on the shape of aluminum flake which were prepared by rod mill. The results showed that aluminum pigments having good particle morphologies and narrow range of particle size distribution which could be prepared only by controlling conditions properly. The optimum operating condition is that the initial particle shape of aluminum powder is ball, the mill is backfilled with 58-60 rods, the milling time is about 4-6 hours, and wherein isopropanol is used as grinding agent and stearic acid as grinding aid.It could be seen from the photo of SEM that the thickness of the aluminum particles which we made is hard to be curlied .So the flash aluminum flake pigment also has high ratio of cover power which is tested by the experiment of water surface covering power.It is being discussed that the effect of different couple-agents modifying aluminum flake pigment. We found that the γ-APS couple-agents is the best one and when the weight ratio of couple-agents:water:ethanol is l:2:30,the modified aluminum pigment get better dispersion stability in water than unmodified one. Then the enhance performance of the aluminum powder resistance to erode and to high temperature which have made by dealing the aluminum pigment with high temperature. The modified aluminum pigment was characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Spectrum instrument (EDS) and XPS. The results showed that the modified aluminum flakes are encapsulated by silane coupling agent and Al-O-Si bond was formed in the surface of the particles .It turned to be water-inert and hydrophilic after aluminum pigment modified which have validate by the gassing stability experiments.The paper also researched the method of preparing the golden flash aluminum flake pigment which is made from the flash aluminum flake pigment coated by PMMA.
