CDMA移动通信系统HLR的设计研究

【摘要】 归属位置寄存器(HLR)是码分多址、时分多址、GSM移动通信网络的组成部分之一。HLR是移动通信网的核心数据库,其中存储着移动用户的重要信息。这些用户信息主要包括:用户的基本信息、签约业务信息和用户的当前位置信息、用户状态等。HLR是移动通信网中非常重要的一个功能实体,它与网络中其它功能实体一起完成移动信令的交换。 本文首先系统的介绍了CDMA移动通信网概况、核心技术和No.7信令系统,分析了HLR在移动通信网中的角色和它与ANSI-41系列标准的关系。 然后重点研究了一种CDMA移动通信系统HLR的设计方案。该方案按照模块化的设计思路,将HLR划分为三大模块,即信令处理单元(Signal Processing Unit)、HLR数据库单元(HLR Database)和业务管理单元(Service Management Unit)。分别剖析了SPU的模块化的硬件层次结构和主要的软件模块,HDB的双机备份硬件结构设计和软件模块设计,SMU的软件模块设计及基于Web的扩展。并且指出了传统单进程多线程HDB模块设计的性能瓶颈和稳定性差等缺点,运用功能分解、冗余备份的方法,对传统的HDB模块的设计进行了改进,提出了一种多进程多线程的HDB设计方法:通过在原HDB子模块中增加一个控制模块,并且修改原来的消息处理模块,形成在一个HDB中有多个处理模块并行运行的处理模式,大大提高了HLR系统的可靠性和处理性能。HLR三个子模块的功能比较集中,彼此相对独立,模块的可扩充性比较好。 本文最后分析和讨论了合作开发SMU和HDB子模块时遇到的参数检查重复的问题,并提出了一种基于“接口定义”的解决方案。

【Abstract】 The Home Location Register (HLR) is an integral component of CDMA, TDMA and GSM networks. The HLR is the main database of permanent subscriber information for a mobile network. It contains pertinent user information, including basic information, profile information, current location and account status etc. HLR is a very important functional entity of the mobile communication network, exchanging diversified signal with other functional entities in the network.Firstly, this paper systematically introduces the framework of CDMA mobile communication network, related core technologies and Signaling System #7, and analyses the role HLR acts in mobile communication system and the relationship between HLR and ANSI-41 series standards.Secondly, a kind of design method of HLR in CDMA communication system is discussed emphatically. In this method, using the way of modularizing, HLR is divided into 3 submodules: Signal Processing Unit (SPU), HLR Database (HDB) and Service Management Unit (SMU). Then following are analyized and described: the hiberarchy of hardware and major software module of SPU, the design of two-unit standby system for hardware of HDB, the design of software module of HDB, the design of software of SMU and the its extension based on Web. And then it is pointed out that the traditional software design of HDB’s single process and multi-thread has some disadvantages like bottle-neck of efficiency and weakness of stability. Applying the way of functional division and redundant backup, the traditional design of HDB software is improved, and a design of multi-process and multi-thread HDB is proposed. The new means adds a control module into HDB, and adapts the old message-processing module to the new form of multi-processing-module in HDB. By using it, the efficiency and stability of HLR proved greatly. Each submodule of HLR is functioningcentralized, independent and scalable.At last, this paper discusses a problem of repeated parameters checking in the process of SMU and HDB developing, and presents a solution based on interface definition.
