镁合金气体保护熔化浇注及安全技术研究

【摘要】 镁合金作为现在最轻的商用金属结构材料,具有比重轻、高比强度、高比刚度,减振吸噪能力强、良好的电磁屏蔽能力和铸造性能等一系列独特的优点。随着我国汽车、摩托车及信息通讯、航空航天、手动工具等产业的迅速发展,镁合金的生产应用越来越受到人们的重视。由于95%左右的镁合金是以压铸件的形式进入应用领域的,由高性能压铸机和镁合金连续熔化浇注炉组成的镁合金压铸单元也随着镁合金应用的日益增长而享有日益增长的市场需求。由于镁合金易于氧化燃烧的化学特性,镁合金气体保护熔化浇注技术是镁合金生产应用的关键技术之一,镁合金气体保护熔化浇注系统也成为镁合金压铸生产的关键装备。目前,我国没有很好掌握相关技术及具备熔炉的生产能力,压铸镁合金单元所需熔炉主要依赖进口。本文以形成拥有自主知识产权的镁合金熔化浇注技术为目标,系统研究气体保护压铸镁合金熔化浇注技术,为国产镁合金熔炉设计和生产奠定理论基础。本文在深入研究了镁合金氧化燃烧机理和炉子的热平衡理论的基础上,系统建立了包括熔体气体保护、熔化及熔体温度监控、熔体定位定量浇注、镁合金锭料预热、镁合金熔体质量控制和安全保障等单元技术理论,为新型气体保护压铸镁合金熔化浇注炉的研究和开发奠定了技术基础。根据以上的研究结果,重庆硕龙科技有限公司生产了HS 系列气体保护压铸镁合金连续熔化浇注炉,部分满足了我国镁合金压铸生产对镁合金熔化浇注炉的需求。用户使用结果表明:开发的镁合金熔化浇注装备能够为压铸生产连续提供冶金质量满足要求的镁合金熔体,与进口熔炉相比,在性能和可靠性相当的前提下,具有明显的性价比优势。
【Abstract】 Magnesium alloys, as the lightest commercialized metallic structural material at present, have many advantages, such as high specific strength, high specific rigidity and good casting capability. With the rapid development of automobile, motorbike, communication, aviation and elelctric tooling industries in China, more and more attention has been paid to the application of magnesium alloys. Due to the fact that more than 95% of magnesium alloys are used in the form of die castings, the demand for die-casting unit consisting of a high performance die caster and a gas shielded continuous melting and pouring furnace is gowing rapidly. Due to their chemical active nature, Mg alloys are prone to oxidation and ignition. Therefore, the technique and equipment of gas protected melting and pouring of Mg alloys become part of the key techniques and equipments in Mg production and application. However, the research and development in this field is backward in China, and the Mg melting and pouring furnaces for die-casting are almost all imported. Consequently, the present study is devoted to develop a noval gas protected melting and pouring technique and to establish guide-lines for the design and safety management of Mg melting and pouring furnace. To achieve such a goal, the study started with the studies on the oxidation and ignition mechanism of Mg alloy and heat transfer and temperature control of the furnace. Then, the principles of unit techniques, such as gas protection, Mg melting and melt temperature control, furnace positioning and melt metering, ingot preheating, melt quality control, and furnace operation safety, were studied to lay a sound base for the design, construction and use of gas shielded Mg melting and pouring furnace for die casting. According to the above achievements, the HS series Mg melting and pouring furnaces for die-casting were design and produced by Chongqing Sino S&T Company Limited for domestic Mg die casting market. It was proved that supported by the present theories, the Mg furnaces are capapble of supply to die casters with Mg alloy melt of high metallurgical quality. Compared with the imported ones, the domestic furnaces possess significantly specific price and market competence together with the same safety and quality insurance.
