异构系统网络存储共享技术的研究

【摘要】 在当今存储技术的研究领域中,被广泛认可的主流技术是基于光纤通道(Fibre Channel)的存储区域网络(SAN, Storage Area Network)技术,并且国内外众多企业在SAN及其衍生技术的研究与开发上投入了大量的人力和物力。这是由于SAN提供了一种与现有LAN连接的简易方法,因此它具有可扩展性高,允许企业独立增加存储容量等优点;同时使LAN网络性能不受数据访问的影响,存储设备性能的发挥也不受LAN网络的影响。另外,这种独立的集中式专有网络存储方式使得远程管理和无人值守得以实现。鉴于这种情况,作者对SAN系统及其衍生技术进行了全面的研究,并在基于SAN的异构系统网络存储共享技术方面取得了如下一些研究成果: 1.在异构系统网络存储共享系统的设计中,提出了采用异步I/O访问模式,缓冲读写及双重缓冲区等优化方法,提高了系统运行效率,使得大型机与开放系统(如UNIX和Windows平台等)对SAN的磁盘子系统的存储共享效率更高。 2.在分析综合多种SAN备份方案优点的基础上,设计并实现了基于异构存储共享的统一数据备份/恢复系统,实现了大型机与开放系统跨平台的统一数据备份/恢复。 上述技术成果已在一个国际合作项目中得到成功运用。

【Abstract】 In the research areas of storage technologies, the widely accepted mainstream technologies is Fibre-Channel (FC) based Storage Area Network (SAN). For this reason, many foreign and native companies put so much resource in the research and development of SAN and its related products. SAN has provided a convenient way to connect storage sub-system with present LAN, so storage capacity can be appended independently and network performance will not be affected by data transference. In addition, this kind of centralized network storage model makes remote and unattended management possible. In the consideration of this situation, I have done a full research in SAN and related technologies in general and cross-platform network storage sharing in specific and it is summarized as below:1. In the design of cross-platform (UNIX and Windows) network storage sharing system, I have brought forward several optimizing methods, such as asynchronous I/O mode, I/O buffering and double buffers. This makes the system more efficient to share the SAN storage sub-system.2. Designed universal backup/restore system based on the cross-platform network storage sharing system, utilizing merits of several SAN backup solutions, which realizes an integrated backup/restore method of main frames and open system.
