无机硅/有机硅改性苯丙乳液的合成与表征

【摘要】 本文用一种有机-无机杂化物—硬脂酸盐纳米二氧化硅复合物作乳化剂成功合成出苯丙乳液。借助Malvern Autosizer 4700粒径测试仪、透射电镜(TEM)、光学接触角测量仪(OCA)、动态力学分析仪(DMA)这些仪器测试了乳液的各种性能。结果发现,保护胶聚丙烯酸钠(PA)能够显著提高聚合稳定性,功能性单体甲基丙烯酸缩水甘油酯(GMA)能够提高乳液的储存稳定性。随着有机-无机杂化乳化剂用量增加,苯丙乳液粒径呈先增大后减小的趋势。透射电镜测试结果表明,制备出的苯丙乳液确实足有机-无机纳米复合乳液。用此乳化剂合成出的乳液乳胶膜比传统的苯丙乳液或有机硅改性苯丙乳液具有更好的防水性。此有机无机纳米复合乳液的玻璃化转变温度比相同有机硅含量的苯丙乳液高。

【Abstract】 A styrene(St)/butyl acrylate(BA) latex was successfully synthesized by using an organic-inorganic hybrid compound (OIHC), an aliphatic carboxylate sodium/nano-silica composite, as the emulsifier, and investigated by Malvern Autosizer 4700, transmission electron microscope (TEM), optical contact angle measurement (OCA) and dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA). It was found that the protective agent, sodium polyacrylate (PA) could obviously improve the polymerization stability and the functional monomer, glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), could enhance the store stability. The particle size of St-BA latex decreased and then level off with the content of the organic-inorganic hybrid emulsifier increasing. TEM observed that the prepared polymers by the latex were actually an organic-inorganic nanocomposite, and these films had better waterproof property than those prepared by traditional St-BA latex or organic silicone modified St-BA latex. The nanocomposite polymers had much higher glass transition temperature than those containing the same organic silicone content.
