【摘要】 维多利亚时期小说在英国文学史上占有一定的地位。 本文旨在讨论维多利亚时期小说中的词汇问题，从中总结出词汇的规律及其特征。在语料库语言学及现代统计理论的指导下，通过利用语言统计软件SNOBOL4，SPSS及计算机软件FoxPro，对维多利亚时期小说数据库中的词汇进行分析，并与LOB，CEC两个数据库相比较，从而获得了出现在维多利亚时期小说数据库中的一些现在不常用或过时的词汇所占比例及其相关数据。并从词源，构词，及语义的角度对这一结果进行分析量化。因此，希望本文能对这一时期小说感兴趣的读者有一定的帮助，并希望此文能在大学英语教学方面起到一定的作用。更多还原

【Abstract】 The Victorian novel has very important position in the English literature history This thesis is intended to study the lexical features of the Victorian English novels. In this sense, the author has investigated into the distribution of words in the Victorian Novels, in comparison with the LOB and CEC vocabulary. With the help of SNOBOL4, SPSS, and FoxPro, the author obtained the proportions of old words in Victorian novels as well as some other relevant data. Also, the author has illustrated some typical words from etymology and semantic points of view, with examples covering a wide range of subject fields and spheres of interest.It is hoped that some findings will prove helpful for those who are interested in such novels as well as some pedagogical guidance for college English teaching,更多还原
