用于MPEG-2前端系统的PCI接口设计及实现

【摘要】 视频压缩、存储、传输和处理技术以及超大规模集成电路技术的迅速发展,大大扩展了视频技术的应用领域。 在传统的广播电视领域、娱乐领域和新兴的internet视频业务领域,视频通信系统的前端都是关键的设备。本次设计的目标是实现视频通信发送端的压缩层和传送层的第一级复用。具体来说,是把模拟视频源解码成符合CCIR601规范要求的数字视频源,经专用的MPEG2编码芯片压缩形成视频ES流送入计算机,与一路音频ES流打包复用后形成一路TS流。整个MPEG2编码系统基于PC平台,通过PCI总线完成与计算机的通信。 本论文主要讲述MPEG2编码器的视频捕获和PCI接口硬件设计及相关的底层软件设计。主要内容包括: ●MPEG2编码器的体系结构; ●电视原理、制式以及电视信号的PCM编码参数的选择和PCM编码的国际标准; ●PCI总线协议标准及PCI设备驱动程序的编写; ●MPEG2编码器的相关接口的具体硬件设计和相应的软件设计,结合具体情况,讨论了主控编程; ●硬件调试。

【Abstract】 With VLSI developing rapidly, the technology of video compressing, storaging, transmitting and processing get great progress, which expand the applying field of video technology.The forepart of an video communication system is very important not only in traditional field, such as broadcast television, but also in rising field, such as the video service on internet, VOD. Our design goal is to realize compressing and the first level multiplexing of video communication system. First an analog video signal is decoded by SAA7 11 A to form a digital video signal complying with CCIR6O1 which then is compressed by an special chip IBMS42O, at last, the video ES is packed with audio ES to form TS by computer. The MPEG2 encoder system is based on PC platform and data exchanging is based on PCI bus.This thesis is about video capture and the hardware&software of PCI interface. The main subject including:The constructure of this MPEG2 encoder;~The principle and the system of TV, also the determination of TV signal抯 PCM parameter and the international standard of video PCM;昑he protocol of PCI and the driver of PCI device;The hardware&software design of some corresponding interfaces of MPEG2 encoder, allowing for the working condition, there is some discussing on programming of mater control;Debugging and testing.
