【Abstract】 Gendered ageism is an extension of ageism along the gender dimension and represents one of the most prevalent and’complex forms of discrimination in consumer society. Taking Foucaults theory of micro-power as the starting point for defining gendered ageism, and using the objectified body, subjugated to power and endowed with symbolic value, as the analytical fulcrum, this paper constructs a theoretical framework to explain the operational mechanisms of gendered ageism. Furthermore, by examining its essence, operational strategies, and effects, the study elucidates the complex characteristics through which gendered ageism continuously manifests and consolidates itself in its own dynamic process of generation, thereby revealing the existential predicament faced by female subjects in the process of aging within the context of modernity.更多还原
