RIS辅助通信的小尺度信道建模及系统级性能评估

【摘要】 可重构智能表面(RIS)作为一项新兴的电磁材料技术,在现今的移动通信研究中备受关注。要探究RIS辅助移动通信系统的性能效果,只采用宏观大尺度RIS信道模型的性能检验是不充分的。因此,利用基于几何的随机性信道建模(GBSM)方法,并参考3GPP TR38.901的标准信道模型完成RIS辅助通信场景的小尺度衰落信道建模,系统级仿真评估验证了小尺度信道模型的准确性和必要性;同时,采用控制变量方法探索不同通信场景下的RIS性能差异。仿真结果表明,RIS在直连信道为非视距且级联信道为视距时性能表现更优,且RIS面板越大,增益越明显。

【Abstract】 As an emerging electromagnetic materials technology, RIS(Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface) attracts significant attention in current mobile communication research. To investigate the performance of RIS-assisted mobile communication systems, performance evaluations based solely on macroscopic, largescale RIS channel models are insufficient. Therefore, using the GBSM(Geometry-based Stochastic Model) method and referring to the standard channel model in 3 GPP TR38.901, the small-scale fading channel modeling for RIS-assisted communication scenarios is completed. Through system-level simulations, the accuracy and necessity of the small-scale channel model are confirmed. At the same time, the control variable method is employed to investigate differences in RIS performance across various communication scenarios. Simulation results demonstrate that RIS performs better when the direct channel is non-line-ofsight and the cascaded channel is line-of-sight. Furthermore, the larger the RIS panel, the more pronounced the gain.
