【Abstract】 Digital empowerment of the patriotic education for university students is a crucial means to innovate the ideological and political education in institutions of higher learning and well cultivate students’ patriotic sentiments. It is essential to explore the inherent logic of digitally empowerment of patriotic education for university students from three dimensions: value logic, technical logic, and practical logic. We must fully recognize the current challenges faced by digitally empowered patriotism education among college students in terms of the subjective cognitive dilemmas,, the difficulties in technology adaptation, and the impact of multiculturalism. Focusing on the deep interaction between digital technology and educational transformation, educational practice, educational direction, and educational effectiveness, efforts should be made to strengthen digital educational thinking, improve digital infrastructure, standardize digital educational content, and enhance digital educational governance.
