Research progress on vitamin D anti-infection mechanism and related diseases
【Abstract】 As a fat-soluble vitamin, vitamin D has been deeply valued by scholars at home and abroad in regulating bone metabolism and calcium ions, but with a number of systematic reviews and a large number of observational studies in recent years, vitamin D deficiency is closely related to the onset and development of infectious diseases, and active vitamin D can trigger a series of immune responses through vitamin D-binding proteins and corresponding receptors, including the activation of antibacterial peptides, monocytes/macrophages, T cells and B cells to cause related signaling pathways to achieve anti-infection. In this paper, the anti-infection mechanism of vitamin D receptors(VDR)-antimicrobial peptide axis, innate immunity and adaptive immunity is elaborated, and its related viral infectious and bacterial infections are reviewed. To explore the current status of research on vitamin D levels and infectious diseases, although a large number of studies have confirmed the corresponding association between vitamin D and infectious diseases, there is still a lack of data on other infectious diseases.
