【Abstract】 Through introducing the ideological and political content of Marxist world outlook and methodology, ecological civilization construction, the concept of marine power, and the courage to innovate in the teaching process of paleoclimatology, we have used case analysis and thematic discussion to cooperate with the teaching of paleoclimatology system knowledge, and made remarkable achievements in the optimization of livable ecological environment under the green development concept of “green water and green mountains being golden mountains and silver mountains”, and China’s “going to heaven and into the sea”, and the introduction of inspirational figures and examples of ancient climate research in China.
