【Abstract】 College graduates with a high sense of social responsibility are the main force to promote social progress. The formation of a sense of social responsibility is a gradual process, which should permeate into every link of university education. In the teaching of the Mechanics of Materials course, students’ sense of social responsibility is stimulated by analyzing engineering accident cases. Through the analysis of the causes of major engineering accidents, students realize the importance of theoretical knowledge so as to cultivate their sense of social responsibility, safety awareness and rigorous work and study style, which achieves the synergistic effect of teaching and education by integrating the two.更多还原
