C波段高功率速调管脉冲调制器设计
Designing a High Power Pulse Modulator Used for C-Band Klystron
【摘要】 为满足高梯度紧凑型电子直线加速结构的需求,设计了一种用于C波段速调管的脉冲调制器。该脉冲调制器基于恒流充电电源充电,氢闸流管放电,脉冲形成网络储能放电形成脉冲。该脉冲调制器的负载为高功率速调管,设计指标为脉冲电压350 kV,脉冲电流320 A,重复频率10 Hz,重复稳定性优于0.02%。实验测试结果表明:实测结果均达到设计指标。
【Abstract】 With the development of accelerator technology,C-band accelerating structure is applied in Shanghai soft X-ray Free Electron Lasers(SXFEL).This paper designs a high power pulse modulator used for 50 MW C-band klystron.The pulse modulator uses thyratron as high voltage switches and pulse forming network to generate pulse waveform.The main parameters of the modulator-klystron systems are peak beam voltage 350 kV,peak beam current 320 A,2.5 μs flattop pulse width and 10 Hz repetition rate.The relevant experiments show that this pulse modulator can meet the requirement of 50 MW C-band klystron.
