【Abstract】 Xi Jinping’s thought on eco-civilization is an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Since the 18 th CPC national congress,in the face of the increasingly severe ecological situation and the people’s rising ecological demands,Xi Jinping has put forward some new ideas,new views and new judgments on the correct handling of the core issue of " ecological environment and people’ s well-being",which formed a systematic and sound ecological thought on eco-civilization. Beautiful ecological environment is the root of people’s livelihood,problem of ecological environment may become the trouble of people’s livelihood,and good ecological life is the happiness of people’s livelihood,which constitutes the rich connotation of Xi Jinping’s thought on eco-civilization and contains profound implications about people’s livelihood.
