改性硫酸钙晶须增强聚丙烯复合材料的制备与表征
Preparation and Characterization of Modified Calcium Sulfate Whisker Reinforced Polypropylene Composite
【摘要】 采用碱液对硫酸钙晶须(CSW)进行处理,增加了CSW表面的羟基数量,然后用硅烷偶联剂KH570对羟基化的CSW进行表面改性,从而在CSW表面引入双键。将CSW加入到聚丙烯(PP)中,通过熔融共混法制备复合材料。在熔融共混过程中,通过过氧化二异丙苯(DCP)分解产生自由基,引发CSW表面的双键与PP基体之间发生化学反应,从而在CSW与基体之间产生化学键合,强化了CSW与基体之间的界面相互作用,制备了高性能的CSW增强PP复合材料。通过红外光谱(FTIR)表征了改性CSW的表面性能,分析了羟基化处理和DCP对改性CSW增强PP复合材料力学性能和热性能的影响。结果表明,CSW表面的羟基化和DCP所引发的键合反应能够显著改善CSW与PP之间的界面相容性,使复合材料的力学性能和热性能得到显著提升。
【Abstract】 Calcium sulfate whisker( CSW) was treated by sodium hydroxide in order to increase the number of hydroxyl groups on CSW surface,then a silane coupling agent( KH570) was used to modify the hydroxylated CSW to introduce unsaturated double bonds on the CSW surface. The modified CSW was melt blended with polypropylene( PP) on the presence of the initiator dicumyl peroxide( DCP),which could produce chemical bonding between CSW and PP matrix,resulting in enhanced interfacial adhesion. The surface properties of the modified CSW were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,and the effects of hydroxylation modification of CSW and addition of DCP on the mechanical and thermal properties of CSW/PP composite were investigated. The results showed that hydroxylation modification and chemical bonding could greatly improve the compatibility and the interfacial adhesion between CSW and PP matrix,which resulted in better mechanical and thermal properties of the resultant composite.
