【摘要】 梳理了近代从厦门出海的华人华侨在引进西方现代体育和推动近代厦门体育事业整体发展方面的实践和贡献。认为:近代体育教育在厦门的普及,促成了近代厦门健儿参与国际赛事的热情,构建了近代国家体育形象;华人华侨建立体育组织、资助并参与体育赛事,也是近代厦门对外体育交流的重要平台,并以此为媒介促进两岸交流合作做出了贡献。更多还原

【Abstract】 Based on the materials related to overseas Chinese and sports in modern Xiamen, this paper investigates by means of document and logical analysis the practice and contribution of overseas Chinese in spreading traditional Chinese sports, introducing western sports and promoting the overall development of sports in Xiamen in modern times. This findings show that: spreading traditional Chinese sports is an important means to enhance overseas Chinese’s national feeling as well as an embodiment of their national identity; the spread of modern sports in Xiamen stimulated Xiamen athletes’ enthusiasm of participating in international sports games, thus constructing China’s sports image in modern times; the sports events that overseas Chinese promoted were important platforms for sports communications between Xiamen and other parts of the world, thus promoting the cross-strait exchanges and cooperation.更多还原
