【Abstract】 In people’s social activities, face and politeness are especially important. They exist in all aspects of people’s lives. They are a stepping stone to deal with interpersonal relationships. People will violate certain conversational principles for their own or other people’s faces. Out of politeness, people violate face theory; out of face, people violate politeness principles.
