【摘要】 本文研究了我国三代户家庭内最高一代老年人的健康冲击对家庭教育支出产生的挤出效应。在构建三期世代交叠模型的基础上,分析了老年人健康冲击对家庭教育支出的影响机制,并运用2012和2014年"中国家庭追踪调查"(CFPS)数据进行了实证检验。研究结果表明,老年父母的健康冲击对家庭教育支出施加了显著的负向影响,存在以医疗支出为中介变量的中介效应。进一步地,根据城乡二元体制的差异以及家庭收入水平的异质性进行子样本估计,结果显示,老年父母健康冲击对家庭教育支出的挤出效应在农村家庭和中等收入水平的家庭更为显著,并且都存在以医疗支出为中介变量的显著中介效应。本文研究表明,为了缓解老年人健康冲击对家中子代的教育投资和人力资本的积累产生不良影响,完善我国的社会保障制度,尤其是养老保险和医疗保险制度就显得格外重要。更多还原

【Abstract】 This paper studies the crowding out effect of the health shock of eldest generation on family education expenditure in the sandwich generation households. Based on the three periods overlapping generation model,this paper analyzes the transmission mechanism of the elderly health shock on family education expenditure. The empirical tests were conducted by using the 2012 and 2014 China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) data. The results show that the health shock of elderly parents exerts a significant negative impact on family education expenditure,and there is a mediating effect of medical expenditure as a mediator.Further,considering the differences between the urban and rural background and the heterogeneity of household income levels,the subsample estimates show that the crowding-out effect of the elderly parents health shock on family education expenditures is more significant in rural households and middle-income families. And there is significant intermediary effect with medical expenditure as intermediary variable. This study shows that in order to alleviate the health shock of the elderly on the education investment and the accumulation of human capital,it is particularly important to improve China’s social security system,especially the endowment insurance and medical insurance system.更多还原
