【Abstract】 Amid the strategy of invigorating China through science and education, the strategy of strengthening the country through human resource development and the innovation-driven development strategy, the university’s contribution to the economic and social development is growing day by day, which has increasingly become a powerful engine for the economic development. By reviewing the practical results of entrepreneurial universities in Europe and the United States and summarizing their characteristics and the incentives for the rise, we further discussed the main factors driving the development of entrepreneurial universities in China in terms of the historical background, the reform of higher education and the development of students. In general strategy, the development path of China’s "entrepreneurial universities" can be established through straightening out the internal environment, constructing institutional systems, and expanding external space.更多还原
