基于垂直Stroop范式的空间二语词汇加工研究
Research into Spatially Associated L2 Words on Vertical Stroop Paradigm
【摘要】 越来越多的研究表明:一语词汇加工与空间认知、运动和感知联系紧密。然而,二语词汇加工与感觉运动系统之间关系的研究却为数不多。基于此,本研究通过采用垂直Stroop范式,设计了两个实验。实验被试均为中国获得TEM8(全国高校英语专业八级考试证书)的高级英语学习者。在实验一中,给被试呈现四种不同颜色的一语或二语空间词汇(如屋顶、树根);在实验二中,并要求被试根据词汇的字体颜色做出空间向上或向下的手臂反应。结果显示,二语词汇加工与运动反应之间联系微弱。并且,运动反应的激活并非如一语词汇加工那样明显。
【Abstract】 Increasing evidence suggested that first language( L1) processing is closely linked to spatial cognition,motor and perceptual processing. However,little is known about the association between second language( L2) processing and sensorimotor system. The current study performed two experiments to explore this issue adopting a vertical Stroop paradigm.Participants are all Chinese EFL proficient learners who are English majors with the certificate of TEM8( Test for English Majors-Band 8). Across the two experiments,participants were presented either L1 or L2 spatially associated words( e.g.,roof,root) in four different colors and required to respond to the words’ ink color with an upward or downward arm movements. The result manifests itself that there is a weak automatic association between L2 words processing and motor responses. What is more,the motor response triggered is not so obvious as that of L1 words processing.
