【Abstract】 In her work Making a Living, Charlotte Perkins Gilman describes in detail the process of how the protagonist starts an undertaking to make a living. The story on the one hand indicates that while creating survival condition, people can also give consideration to ecological environment; on the other hand demonstrates how the male and female protagonists achieve equality and live in harmony by mutual respect and appreciation. Through the analysis of the relationship between economy and natural environment as well as that between men and women, this paper probes deeply into Gilman’s feminism thinking and her ecological views, and believes that this story is a perfect combination of Gilman’s gender perspective and her ecological view.更多还原
