【摘要】 目前,中国高校的外语教育课程面临着严峻的挑战。随着中国社会的经济、教育、文化、政治和科学技术的发展,建设世界一流大学和一流学科成为高等教育改革发展的重中之重。一些大学改革了通用英语课程的基本目标,从以培养学生的英语综合应用能力为中心转向以写作能力为中心,从而重视提高学生的学术写作能力,来带动其他能力的发展。如何改革大学通用英语课程,使其更具有意义和价值成为核心问题。本文旨在为大学英语课程提出建议,即以培养学生的思辨能力为核心目标,进而提高学生的英语综合应用能力。并通过实验调查、定量分析和定性分析等方法对该研究进行佐证。本文以课堂加时事新闻作业活动为教学手段,探讨了通用英语课程的培养目标,为大学英语课程的设置提出建设性意义。更多还原

【Abstract】 Currently the course of foreign language education in colleagues and universities in China faces a severe challenge,as the development of Chinese social economic, education, culture, politics, science and technology. The construction of the world first-class university and the first-class discipline has become the top priority of the reform and development of higher education.Some universities have reformed the essential aim of general English course to cultivate students’ English comprehensive applied abilities into an emphasis of improving students’ academic writing ability in the form of setting up writing center. How to develop colleague general English course, so as to make it exist more meaningful and worthy,becomes the core issue. This paper aims at proposal for English course, that is to develop students’ thinking discriminative competence as the core target to drive the improvement of students’ English comprehensive applied ability. It also examines the approaches through experimental survey, quantitative and qualitative analysis to give evidence for the statement. The purpose of the paper is to shed light on the view of the constructive meaning of general English language curriculum based on classroom +current affair assignment activities.更多还原
