【Abstract】 The joinery work of Suzhou Classical Gardens showed the highest standard of architectural decoration at that time with excellent properties and easy processing. This essay is going to summarize various types of joinery work firstly,and analyse these joinery work types with living examples of Suzhou Classical Gardens. Then,the essay will focus on the functions of joinery work. The location in gardens,design patterns and cultural meaning will be combined to analyze the functions in this section.
