光频标用钙原子束管

【摘要】 光频标是未来量子频标的发展趋势,热钙原子束方案的光频标由于没有冷却光系统,总体结构简单、可靠性高,具有实现小型化和工程化的潜力,其指标可以超过铯钟和氢钟。在第一代全密封钙原子束管的基础上进行了改进设计,实现了一种新的模块化结构的小型钙原子束管。整管尺寸小于55cm×16cm×15cm,重量小于10kg,在作用区的钙原子束流大于1.6×1010/秒,信噪比优于3000,荧光谱线线宽小于100 MHz,原子束流相对稳定度优于0.03%,钟跃迁谱线小于400kHz。与657nm激光联调后预期短期稳定度将优于1×10-13/1s。

【Abstract】 Optical frequency standard is regarded as a future quantum frequency standard.The heated calcium beam optical frequency standard doesn’t need laser cooling system,and so the whole construction is simple and robust,which has the potential of miniaturization and engineering.As optical frequency standard,the stability of the heated calcium beam optical frequency standard is better than that of the cesium clock and the hydrogen maser.Based on the first generation full-sealed calcium beam vacuum tube,we improve the system design and realize a new module construction.The whole volume of the module is 55cm×16cm×15cm and the weight is less than 10 kg.The atom flow rate in the interaction area is 1.6×1010/s.The signal to noise ratio of the 423 nm fluorescence signal is better than 3 000 and the corresponding linewidth is 100 MHz.The relative stability of the atom flow rate is better than 0.03%.The linewidth of the clock transition signal is 400 kHz.After locking the clock transition laser of 657 nm,the short period stability of the heated calcium beam optical frequency standard will be better than 1×10-13/1s.
