【Abstract】 Paul Samuelson’s Economics is a classical works in economics because of its unique style. The paper elaborates on the grammatical metaphor used in the chapter of "Birth of Macro-economics"in reconstruction of experience. It is found that even though the book mostly retells the known economic rules,by means of grammatical metaphors,including ideational metaphor,interpersonal metaphor and textual metaphors,shaping up narrative framework of the branch,featured with tight cohesion,compact logic and effective persuasion,and even new meanings of economics.更多还原
