哈佛大学跨学院联合培养博士模式的特征探析
Study on the Characteristics of Interfaculty Cotraining Ph D Pattern in Harvard University
【摘要】 步入新世纪以来,随着全球化与国际化的不断推进、知识生产模式的转型以及学科制度危机的影响,哈佛大学博士生培养面临前所未有的挑战。为了有效应对这一挑战,哈佛大学及时调整博士生培养战略,创设了一系列的跨学院联合培养博士的学位项目,而这在一定程度上也促成了跨学院联合培养博士模式的基本形成。在具体发展过程中,哈佛大学跨学院联合培养博士模式表现出鲜明的特征:创建多方协作机制,实现博士生的全面综合发展;加强课程与培养方式的多样性,满足不同类型博士生的需求;注重卓越教育理念的引领,切实提升博士生培养的质量。
【Abstract】 Since entering into the new century,with the advancement of globalizationand internationalization,the transformation of knowledge production mode as well as the in-fluence of the disciplinary institution crisis,Harvard University’s doctoral education is fac-ing unprecedented challenges. In order to cope with these challenges,Harvard Universityestablished a series of interfaculty co-training Ph D degree programs,which contributed tothe basic formation of interfaculty co-training Ph D pattern. In the course of its develop-ment,the pattern showed some distinctive features:creating the multi-party collaborationmechanism to achieve comprehensive development of Ph D students,strengthening the di-versity of courses and training methods to meet the needs of different types of Ph D students,focusing on the excellence in education philosophy to improve the quality of doctoral train-ing effectively.
