【Abstract】 The conceptual metaphor is an important category of cognitive linguistics,exerting an influence not only on the use of language but also on the pattern of our thinking and behavior. The study of systematicity of conceptual metaphor is of great significance to the understanding of the systematicity of language itself. Besides,coherence is another important quality of conceptual meaning. This paper first explores the systematicity and coherence of conceptual metaphor,then discusses the significance of such characteristics in English teaching from three perspectives.更多还原
