【Abstract】 Dissymmetry is widespread in every aspect of language.The paper explores the pragmatic and cognitive motivations for the Markedness of Place Deixis under the frame of Markedness Theory.The choice of Place Deixis is concerned with different reference points.From the pragmatic angle,observing pragmatic principles is the reason for the dissymmetry of choice of Place Deixis.Human beings get to know the outside world on the basis of themselves and get used to take themselves as references,so cognitive factor is another reason for the dissymmetry of Place Deixis.更多还原
