【Abstract】 Ethos of scholars and folk customs are in close contact,and ethos of scholars often play a leading role in folk customs. Yongjia School’s master Ye Shi was dissatisfied with the Southern Song Dynasty ethos of scholars pouring idle status. He also pointed the problem as follow: scholars often talk mysterious emptily,they paid attention to personal gain,comparing with contempt for public benefit. Purification of ethos of scholars should begin with correcting scholars. He thought shaping the ideal personality by the means of"become the German",then with the help of moral practice. The ethos of scholars could guide the folk custom,which can promote social liberal progress.更多还原
