【Abstract】 In recent years social justice has become an issue of great concern to all walks of life and a hot academic topic in China. This paper argues that justice is not a descriptive but a normative value concept, and can be best understood from the perspective of philosophical value theory. As a primary institutional value, a meta-norm and a principle of value adjustment, justice is both a contemporary solution to the contradiction between freedom and equality and a synthesis of the two. As a criterion, justice is not a line but a range, with the upper limit being when all parties concerned are "very satisfied", and its lower limit being when the solution is "basically acceptable". The concept of justice itself contains tensions between form and substance, what should be and what is, the historical dimension and the immediate present, etc.更多还原
