基于垂直投影和模板匹配的车牌字符分割方法

【摘要】 车牌识别是智能交通中关键技术之一,字符分割是车牌识别的基础。本文利用车牌边框的边缘信息进行车牌倾斜校正,然后基于垂直投影和模板匹配相结合的字符分割算法被提出,提高了字符分割准确率。

【Abstract】 License plate recognition is one of critical technics in Intelligence Traffic System,and its performance is affected by character segmentation algorithm.This paper corrects the oblique license plate with edge information of license plate,and then proposes a character segmentation algorithm,which combines vertical projection and template matching,the precision of character segmentation is greatly increased.
