【Abstract】 The brush and ink languages of the Chinese painting are summed up the testimony of the temper and procedures which have been experienced by nearly 2000 years, and constitute the basic elements of Chinese painting. The Chinese painting’s brush and ink effect has been brought into fuller play in freehand brushwork of flowers and birds. The use of brush’s strokes in carrying, pressing, pausing, bending and the use of ink’s thick, light, dry and wet all produce endless changes under the command of the artist’s passions in order to make the techniques of brush strokes with ink’s styles into together like nature itself, blending water with ink which looks majestic and grand. The artists of freehand brushworks in flowers and birds use the languages of the brush’s strokes and ink to express themselves through the images of nature for conveying their own cultural orientation and spiritual pursuit.更多还原
