【摘要】 <正>2011年6月,国际综合大洋钻探计划(Integrated Ocean Drilling Program,IODP)先后发布了2013-2023年未来十年的科学计划和地幔莫霍钻探初始可行性研究报告的最终版,使得起源于1950年代末的"莫霍孔"计划(Mohole Project)成为未来十年大洋钻探的终极目标。

【Abstract】 The primary scientific objectives of the Mohole Drilling Project are continuous coring and comprehensive geophysical logging through the oceanic crust into the uppermost mande.This article introduces the exciting scientific perspectives,and great technical challenges involved.
