Al2O3对溶胶-凝胶法制备Yb3+掺杂石英玻璃物理及光谱性质的影响(英文)

【摘要】 采用溶胶-凝胶法与高温熔融工艺相结合的方法制备了Yb3+掺杂的石英玻璃,研究了Yb2O3含量一定(0.3 mol%)时,不同Al2O3含量(Al/Yb=4、8、12)对行英玻璃物理及光谱特性的影响。在Yb3+、Al3+共掺的石英玻璃中,随着A12O3含量增加,样品的折射率和Yb3+的荧光寿命提高,吸收截面以及受激发射截面降低。YA2玻璃(0.3Yb2O3-2.4A12O3-97.3SiO2)得到最大的σemi×τf直(0.75 pm2×ms),比FP玻璃(0.60 pm2×ms)高[15]。Al3+离子进入玻璃网络结构,能够降低-OH的含量,提高Yb3+的荧光寿命。当Al/Yb=12时,得到最长的荧光寿命0.96ms和最低的-OH吸收系数1.13 cm-1。这些结果表明,适当含量的A12O3有益于Yb3+石英玻璃的光谱特性以及在光纤激光器方面的应用。

【Abstract】 Yb3+-doped silica glasses with constant Yb2O3 of 0.3 mol%and three different Al/Yb mole ratios(4,8,12) fabricated by Sol-Gel method were investigated.The refractive index and Yb3+ lifetime of glasses increases with the increase of Al2O3 content.Both of absorption cross-section and stimulated emission cross-section decrease with the increase of the Al3+ ions content.YA2glass(0.3Yb2O3-2.4Al2O3-97.3SiO2) shows the best value of σemi×τb(0.75 pm2× ms) which is higher than FP glass(0.60 pm2 ×ms)1’51.The Al3+ ions in glass network could reduce the content of OH groups,and result in a higher fluorescence lifetime.The longest fluorescent lifetime of 0.96 ms and lowest absorption coefficient of-OH of 1.13 cm-1 were obtained in glass with AUYb mole ratio of 12.The results indicate that Yb3+-doped silica glass with proper amount of Al2O3 content will be beneficial for spectroscopic properties and fiber laser application.
