镧在石英光纤表面Ni-P涂层上电镀厚镍中的应用研究

【摘要】 在普通瓦特电镀液中添加稀土镧元素在石英光纤表面化学镀Ni-P涂层上续镀厚镍。考察了氧化镧对镍沉积速率、电流效率、镀层组成、晶粒尺寸、组织结构以及其他物理性能的影响。用扫描电镜观察镀层表面和断面形貌;用能谱仪和等离子发射光谱仪测定镀层元素和组成。结果表明,在瓦特镀液中添加1.5g.L-1的氧化镧后,提高了镍沉积速率和电流效率,改善了厚镍镀层质量,使制备的镀层(厚约750μm)具有晶粒细小、结构致密,高硬度、强附着力、低电阻、高密度和良好的可焊性等性能。镍沉积速率、电流效率、致密度和显微硬度分别由14.2μm.h-1,90.8%,93%和281HV提高至15.2μm.h-1,97.9%,98%和337HV。平均晶粒尺寸、电阻率和润湿时间分别由12μm,27μΩ.cm和5~6s降至1.5μm,23μΩ.cm和2~3s。

【Abstract】 Lanthanum was added into the common Watt bath to make a thick nickel on the Ni-P coating of the quartz optical fiber surface.The influences of lanthanum on nickel deposition rate,current efficiency,coating composition,particle size,structure and other physical properties of the nickel coating were investigated.Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize the morphologies of nickel coating(surface and cross-section).Spectroscopy and plasma emission spectroscopy were employed to measure the elements and composition of the nickel coatings.The results showed that the addition of lanthanum oxide with concentration of 1.5 g·L-1 in the Watt bath increased the nickel deposition rate and current efficiency and improved the quality of the nickel coating.The prepared nickel coating with thickness of about 750 μm had small particle size,compact structure,high hardness,strong adhesion,low resistivity,high density and good solderability.The nickel deposition rate,current efficiency,degree of densification and micro-hardness were increased from 14.2 to 15.2 μm·h-1,90.8% to 97.9%,93% to 98 % and 281HV to 337HV,respectively.The average grain size,resistivity and wetting time were reduced from 12 to 1.5 μm,27 to 23 μΩ·cm and 5~6 s to 2~3 s,respectively.
